Yekaterinburg is a city in the Sverdlovsk region, the administrative center of the Ural Federal district. Located 1667 km from Moscow. It is the largest administrative, cultural, scientific and educational center of the Urals. Yekaterinburg is the fourth most populous city in Russia (after Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk).
There are about 50 different museums in the city. Museums of the city have unique collections of jewelry and stone products. The United Museum of Ural writers presents exhibitions in memory of Mamin-Sibiryak and Bazhov. The city has a developed film industry. In 1943, the Sverdlovsk film Studio was opened. The city also became one of the hosts of the 2018 FIFA world Cup.
