On July 4-6, 2019, the 39th world final of the Global Management Challenge was held.
Russia was represented by the team named «Fathers and Sons» from the Sverdlovsk Region and Moscow. Sergey Ionin, Vyacheslav Zyryanov, Mars Karamov, Maxim Kirilov and Konstantin Scherbakov brought our country the sixth in the history of world championships “gold” medal. As the champions noted, perseverance and goal setting were key success factors. The second place went to the team from Portugal, and the bronze left the only African country in the competition - Cote D’Ivoire.
Russian teams won the world championship for five times: in 2009 - in Lisbon (Portugal), in 2012 - in Kiev (Ukraine), in 2014 - in Sochi (Russia), in 2015 - in Prague (Czech Republic) and in 2016 - in Macau (China).
The first day of the world final took place on July 5 at the Boiling Point of Yekaterinburg. The second day of the competition took place on July 6 in the Iset tower. The super final was attended by teams from the BRICS countries - Russia and China, as well as teams from Portugal, Cote d’Ivoire, Macau, Hong Kong, Poland and Slovakia.
On the eve of the World Final, the Eurasian Economic Union Cup on Strategy and Business was held, in which representatives from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus and the Kyrgyz Republic took part.
The grand closing ceremony with the participation of all the teams and partners of the championship took place at the Hyatt Regency Yekaterinburg. Gala dinner is a tradition of the championship, uniting the participants and allowing to exchange impressions from the past competition. At the award ceremony, the founder of the Global Management Challenge Luis Alves Costa congratulated representatives of all countries, noting that each team that participated in the world final is already the winners.
According to the results of 5 game rounds, the places in the final of the Global Management Challenge were as follows:

The winners of the World Final were congratulated by the RANEPA Rector Vladimir Mau, the Head of Yekaterinburg Alexander Vysokinsky and the Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Pavel Krekov, as well as the Head of the Championship in Russia - Vyacheslav Shoptenko.
The next World Final will be held in Lisbon (Portugal) in May 2020.
